i want to change my TC in my SCV.im pretty intimidated to drop my trans all the way out:eek:. someone was telling me i might could unbolt the bell housing from the trans and slide it back to access the TC. whats yalls input on this. whats the easiest way to change the TC? thanks

I don't think you will have enough room unless it drops down some and to me if you drop that much go ahead and get all the way down and safely. Also do unhook all connectors just in case you try to do it your way first. It suck if it fell and ripped all the wiring harness off. And unhook both batteries too. No sense to accidently shorting out the electrical system.

yeah that would be a good idea. i still havent convinced myself to do this yet. anyone else who has changed their TC? how hard was it, how long would it take

ive done it on a 12 valve which prolly doesnt have quite as much wiring and crap, but its really not that bad...if you have a lift..or atleast a jack i say go for it! jus dnt hurry through it!

not a bad job prolly take ya about six hours first time by yourself without lift. hardest part is gotta take starter off access torque converter bolts otherwise just nuts and bolts as they say

Make sure youve got lots of exstensions on hand to get the top bellhousing bolts.
