Rock Auto was our first internet sales order purchase we have ever made (we have always been a skeptic of the internet). As a Canadian consumer, looking for both quality and good value... Let me tell you that Rock Auto exceeded our wildest expectations.
The online catalog was straight forward and easy to use. The staff was genuine and very knowledgeable!
The Canadian GST/PST was charged at time of purchase and shipped via FEDEX. We had NO duty at the border because the taxes had been charged. This was a bonus!
And the quality was there! Genuine OEM parts for our 1994 GMC 6.5 turbo diesel at a fraction of the cost.
Total savings for our family with SHIPPING/USD EXCH/TAX was over 70% less of what the dealership quoted us.

I have ordered a few items through them as well. I was going to get glow wiring harness however I was able to find the part number once, only once. I waited a few weeks before ordering it and when I went to order I could not find it. About the only thing I know is it was a part where I searched for a different year as I could not find it for my year at the time. I emailed them and they were no help. Aside from that good service and quality parts. Ed

I've ordered alot of parts from them. OK service, usually OK parts. Only time I had a problem was with some motor mounts. They cost me one third of what I could get them locally for. But, turned out they were cheaply made and would not even fit my truck. Rock paid for the return postage. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
For the most part, I've never had a problem anytime I have done business over the internet.!

Did fedex charge any brokerage fees?
The shipment was stalled in Richmond, B.C. for a day going thru customs. I paid GST/PST at the time of sale on 'american soil'... therefore they did NOT charge any brokerage fee =).
As for the USD exchange rate.... it was almost at par, those ACDELCO OEM glow plugs were 9.00CDN each. The dealership here wanted 32.00CDN each.
That in itself for 8 was almost a 250.00CDN savings.

Rock Auto will email you a Discount Code now. If you Google "Rock Auto Discount" you could have found a valid one to use (they save you 5%) - I do that all the time
