I just bought a 2005 2500HD and raised the torsion bars 5 turns. However the truck only raised 5/8". Does anyone know which keys to install to try and get the truck leveled out? I know the Ford green keys will not work properly for the 2500HD model, however GM has to offer something. I even heard the Hummer keys with the suspension pkg work. I need a Gm part number.
I plan on putting new shocks and 16X8 Weld wheels (Got a great price used $400 a set) with 315/75/16 BF T/A's. I don't want to trim a lot or rub on turns/bumps. My wife agreed to purchase the truck as long as I did not install a lift kit. She said nothing about torsion keys!!!!!!!
Any help would be appreciated!!!!

Hmm...315's might be a stretch for a torsion bar lift. You did not mention wether it's a GMC or Chevy and you also need to find the backspace of the wheels you are going to use. Believe it or not this all makes a difference. A set of 285's would be a better choice.

What you are looking for are the "green" keys GM#15593573. Ford keys are for the 1500's and not green! 285's would be a better choice so you would only have a little trimming. 315's you will need a lot of trimming. on a 16x8 you will need a min of 4.5" back spacing and 5" would be better. $400 for a used set is a good price but if the backspacing isn't right they are useless to you and not a great deal. Very important!
As far as the wife not wanting a lift kit...well its always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!

My truck is a Chevy so hopefully the 4.5" backspace will work. I called the chevy place in town and they offer Green or White keys. Whats the difference and what keys came stock?

The stock keys in your truck should be "purple" and the green is what you want. There are 5-6 different keys which are all identicle except the hex is indexed a little different on each key and they are identified by a small dab of paint. 4.5"bs should be fine, that is what I have but you still may need to trim a little tip of the airdam. That is for 285's but if you try to cram 315's in there...well I guess you will see how much trimming you ned. Do a search on green keys and torsion keys and learn as much as you can before attacking it so you get the right stuff and don't waste time and $$$. Good luck!

Try spindles a 3 inch spindle should put the truck level. AND Its not a lift kit,
Its a leveling kit ;)
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think they are for 2 or 4wd.

I leveled mine with the stock keys and still have 4+ threads left. Make sure you jump up and down on the bumper and/or go for a quick drive then check the height. Don't forget to get an alignment done.
