I just bartered for a parts truck that has a 700r4, my truck has a th400. I understand that the different trucks use the vacuum pump for different things and I'm just wondering if they're the same pump or not. I;m running on a borrowed pump right now and should give return it soon. Can I use the one from the 700 without issue?
Thanks

Just hook vac pump to the VRV on the IP.Other use is heater/AC controlls.

Vac. pumps should all be the same, function-wise.
I can't vouch for the fit - there may be some that don't play well with your belt configuration.
The one on my truck serves no purpose at all (I have no vacuum-operated systems), but has to be there for the serpentine belt to go around.

That is it,same Vacuum pump ,but you should check the pump for proper amount of vacuum. The HVAC system is operated by the pump also

Well my pump is gear driven not belt driven and is located behind the intake where a distributor would be on a gas motor. I guess if they look the same I'm pretty safe

someone was just talking bout the vacuum pumps, i guess you can just swap the pod, even from a belt drive to a intake driven.......

what's the pod? is that the circle thing on top? If so can you buy a new one? I don't know for sure that the pump from the donor truck works and I think a whole new pump costs about $160cnd

i dont think you can buy the pod anymore, just swap in an old one or pony up the $160 which is about the right price.....
