: Same rims, different offset?

Just bought a truck and I didn't notice initially. All rims and tires on the truck are the same, but the front have a different offset than the rear. The rims/tires on the front seem to stick out past the fender flares by maybe 1/2"-1" or so, yet the back tires are visibly inset, estimated 2" before the outer most part of the fender.

Could there be a different rear axle width on the truck?
How can this be corrected?

You can see it pretty good here.

And the whole vehicle again, slightly noticable.

It has nothing to do with the wheels. The front track is about 2" wider than the rear track on these trucks. The only remedy using the stock wheels, is to install 1" wheel spacers out back. Or you can find aftermarket wheels with non-stock offsets.

Wheels are the same , Track width is 1 3/4" wider in front I believe.

Why is that? To help spread the weight more evenly across the axle?
I won't be doing a lot of heavy cargo or towing, but for appearance sake I think I should invest in this.

Will a 1" spacer require me to cut or trim off the ends of the original bots?

Is there a perticular type/brand I should look into?

Thanks
