I took of the hoses and lines from my breather and they are filtered through this thing that says AC Spark plug and it has oil in it. Anyone know what this thing is I called advance and Napa and they are stumped. I figure it should be replaced or I can just clean it out with compressed air, at any rate, it's keeping air from getting to the engine. Any chance it's a cranscase ventilation unit? It says cv 867 It's an 82 6.2 Chevy
Thanks

I should have figured out when it says CV on there which stands for crankcase ventilation. Well I did a stupid thing, I put about 100 lbs of compressed air in there to clean out the oil, it smells something awful of diesel exhaust. I probably screwed up the mechanism and I'm thinking I'm going to have to replace it? If so they aren't easy to find and they aren't cheap. Will it keep the engine from starting? Good news the glow plug relay was out because of a 10 amp fuse, I replaced it and the relay is working fine, but I left the key in the on position but the relay fuse was out. Apparently I left it on all night since, I didn't here the relay click I was not aware of it, could I have blown all my plugs, or they weren't on because the relay was out?
Thanks for all the help.

I took mine off and tossed it. I ran a hose from the oil filler pipe back to the intake manifold on the passenger’s side. I plugged the manifold on the driver’s side. Been running for years with no problems.

I bought one for around $60 from the dealership. Also check the tube that it hooks to, if yours is like mine it is mounted right next to the oil fill tube, the tube was ripped on mine so I had to get one of those too.
