Okay, got the estimate back from the adjuster. Damage is $2500, which is a little lower than I was expecting. Adjuster said the hood is going to have to be replaced because the dents are too deep for paintless dent removal. Haven't talked to the paintless dent removal place yet to see what they thought. I am thinking of taking advantage of this and put on a different style hood. Looking for recommendations for a 2004.5 Chevy 2500HD, CC. Maybe something with cowl induction or scoops. Preferably made out of steel. I figure aftermarket will be cheaper than stock dealer prices anyway.
Thanks all,
David

I have the reflexxion cowl hood, and am very happy with it. Fit is as good as stock.

since you will be getting a new hood, you might think about getting the '05 hood, then all you would have to have is the grill and wala, new truck. I like the new hoods better than the 03-04 hoods.

Thanks all. I do like the looks of the reflexxion hoods. I'm going to start looking for one. SS, I need to go take a closer look at the 05s. Haven't really paid that much attention to them since I am still drooling all over my truck.

I have no idea if you are a member of www.fullsizechevy.com but if you are there is a preferred vendor on there named Summit1 (I think) that has great prices on reflexxion hoods
