I have the PPE Hot +2 and am currently running it on level 2. My current mods are in my sig with a stock tranny. My tranny has started slipping so i am looking to upgrade. I am wondering with my current mods what level can i up the PPE too once I upgrade tranny to a level 4.......Anyone have a run down of the mods for each level? It's my daily driver so i need reliability. I am not looking to have no 11 second 1/4's and such, just a nice looking truck that is fast, reliable :) Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Thanks
Shane

I would say depending on which PPE hot +2 (350hp or 425hp) you have I'd just say build your trans and get a lift pump and you should be able to run the highest setting with the 350 hp. You don't really wanna run the 425 hp tune with out dual Cp3s. All settings you run with this will smoke like a freight train but will put out pretty good numbers. if you wanna take full advantage of the power I'd say start pushing more air (turbo upgrade) to clean it up some. But it all depends on how much you wanna throw at it and how far you wanna take it. I'm sure there are others out there that could help out more then me. I've never ran the PPE +2 but have been at dyno events and see what they can do with very minimal mods. I've also seen what the 425 Hp tune does with pretty much no support mods and it wasn't pretty. Lets say the guy was less then happy. I hope this helps out.

yeah, level 9 is as high as I would take it. With what you have done and have planned I'd say level 10 would just smoke everything out and run like crap. The trucks I watched dyno were pretty much stock I don't even think they had a trans. They were all using one guys tuner trying to make big HP with out putting any money out in support mods and it showed. The guy running the 425 tune smoked worse then the cummins guys and I think he (the duramax ower) only put down like 360 or less on dunbars dyno, needless to say he was a lill pissed.. I talked the other guy into running the 350hp tune and if I remember right he put down 468+-hp. Now granted this was on a stock trans so that was really good, I don't think it would hold that tune long on the street but each truck is different.

Your welcome I'm glad I could help. There may also be some other guys that's get on here that have ran this tuner and know other lill secrets and mods about it that will help you out more than me. Just giving your what lill I know on it.

Trans upgrade, blocker plate and a liftpump is all you need. Run it on the 350 setting and expect around 500 rwhp. I had one on my LBZ before I got EFI and all I can tell you is if the LLY is anything like the LBZ with the PPE its going to be a monster. I tried the 425 setting once just out of curiosity and it did'nt run as good on my single cp3 truck as the 350 did.
