I run medium duty trucks in my business. I am aware of the upcoming regulation changes and have questions about how it will effect existing trucks. The fuel, of course, will be different. But, there is a new oil class: pc-10.

Are older diesels required to meet the new emissions standards? How well will older diesels run on the new fuel? Will we need modifications? Is it time to trade?

Couldn't find any info on the EPA site about light duty diesels. Are they effected?

Just trying to plan for the future.
Thanks,

No. They are grandfathered. Vehicles only have to meet the emmissions standards for the year they were made.

Any diesel truck made in 2004 has to meet the new standards.
