had my computer reflashed and changed for different tire size on thursday and just noticed that the engine hours had been reset. the odomter is still the same along with trip miles. i called the dealer and they said that it was no big and to let it go. it doesnt bother me but when i go to sell it i hope its not a problem. i have 12500 miles on it with 3 hours on engine. i guess i could tell everyone my truck can do 4000mph and thats why the milage is high for 3 hours!

I can reset the hours on mine by pressing the arrow button on the steering wheel controls.

Maybe there's a flaw in the 04.5's that was fixed in '05? I reset mine after I took possession of it. I don't use the buisiness portion. I reset the hours that were from the main odometer hours.

My 05 does not have the "Business Hours", only the total hours, and it resets itself at will.
I Don't think it's made it past 20 hours yet before resetting... I've not figured out why, but see a trip to the $tealer in my near future... (my driver side battery STIIIIINKS like rotten eggs in a big way if running for long)

Interesting--my '04 LLY just has one hourmeter, although it has separate personal and business trip meters.

I'm not sure if I can reset mine--I don't want it to reset! I log hours along with miles in my service records so I can help keep tabs on maintenance intervals.

Unless the dealer did some fanagling the speedo was not adjusted for tire size. Last I checked, the speedo calibration was determined by the VIN and the only tires available on the 2500 are 245's.

unless they lied to me and charges me forty five dollars for nothing they said they could change the tire size up to 265's.

Is your speedo accurate now?

The Dealership Should Be Able To Program Your Ecm, For 265 X 75 R16, Because Thats What Comes Stock On 3500 Single Axel In Rear .
