Howdy all!
I have an 82 GMC 3/4 ton 2wd truck that I need to change the heater core in. The problem is, according to the book the heater core has bolts that go through into the engine compartment with nuts on them. I can't seem to find these bolts under the ac and hey what not. Does anybody have any tips on this? Nothing worse than when the pick a component and build a truck around it!
Thanks!

You need a lot of patients and about 8 hours, if you know what you are doing.

You need to take the insulation, or covering off the firewall, then the bolts will be exposed.

shouldn't take that long at all.......the plastic cover does make it suck though. Take the pass side battery and tray out and take the inner fender out then you can get to all the bolts easily. Now that i've got the plastic off i can change one in under an hour.
