I have a 2002 LB7, SLE GMC.....No ON-STAR.........anyway I purchased a used Escalade Cluster from a fellow Diesel Place member some months ago........finally got around to swapping it out today.

Well I swapped it out and the SES light is on......I use the Predator, retreive the P1643 Driver Line 1 Fault ????? So I reset it........shut the key off, re-start the truck and it re-appears again......:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

The cluster seem to work except for the bright yellow SES light on the dash..........:rolleyes:

It won't go away..........:help:

I have swapped the stock cluster back in......for now.......

Do I need to do some kind of relearn or reprogram to the cluster with a TECH II........I thought they were all plug and play ????????

Any help is much appreciated

Mine Does The Same Thing. I Was Just Wondering If The 1643 Code Was Comming On Because Of There Not Being A "wait To Start" Light. Does Anyone Have A Clue What 1643 Is??? I Couldnt Find It Anywhere In The Dtc Lists

I wonder if the gassers use a different signal for the tach ???????? as a diesel picks it up from the alternator I think ?????

Might just be a reprogram for the cluster that needs to be done ?????

I will post a fix if I get one.
