I have been reading here about all of the problems people have had here in Northern Illinois with bad fuel. Most of the posts seem to be from 2 winters ago so I am not sure if this was less of an issue last winter.

What fuel filter should I be running? Is there a difference in quality?

What else other than keeping a fresh filter and trying to find decent fuel works? Do the winter additives work at the part stores work?

Look at that, one post and I already messed it up. I meant to put this over in fluids and maint. If it can be moved that would be great
