Hello, Im working on a 93 K3500 crew cab 8ft bed 6.5 that stalls. The truck has roughly 325,000 miles and this problem had started recently after I changed the fuel tank(due to rust). With the fuel tank i changed the fuel filter which is a carquest as is no longer a metal cap style. I then suspected the lift pump and changed that, it didn't stall for about five days then it started again. Is there a way to diagnose the PMD or OPS? Thanks for any help. P.S. Glow plug module was changed also b/c WTS lite was on too long.

The 93 won't have a PMD. To check OPS, start truck and open the "T" valve on the coolant crossover. Fuel should squirt out. If it doesn't, there's an issue with the OPS, LP, or air leaks. Check very carefully for air leaks.

Oh did not know that about the PMD, I did crack the T and it flowed fuel for at least 15 secs and cracked the fuel filter bleed also. I did notice however that the gray wire to the LP did not have constant power, is that normal? Does the LP have a built in pressure shut off? Thanks

Was it a new tank, if it was used, it may have some sediment in the bottom and may have clogged up the sock, but that would be a last ditch fix, since you would have to drop the tank.

Yeah it was a brand new tank, I change about 20 tanks a year and never had an issue like this. Could it be the fuel shut down solenoid? Did the Chevy's have problems with this?
