i have been having trouble with my brakes (inconsistent pedal, random lock ups) so i took it to a brake shop and was told that my 285/75/16 tires were throwing my abs off? so i removed the fuse and my brakes are working the way they should (consecutive pedal pressure and no locking up) GREAT! but this morning i flipped my high idle on and got nothing? put the fuse back in and the high idle worked? can someone explain how the idle switches are being affected from the abs fuse removed? has any one else experienced similar brake problems with running larger than stock tires?

I run 265's and had to unhook my ABS fuse because of the same braking problems you describe. I blamed it on dirty sensors and never bother to pull them and clean them off. Never was a fan of ABS especially in the winter on ice and snow. Call me old fashion. Never had an idle problem though.

the truck idles fine, i was referring to my "high idle" switches not working when the abs fuse is removed?

i believe i have the same brake problem as you ... when i put my truck in gear it feels like the brakes are on but the parking break is not set and the brake is not being pressed i also run 265/75/r16's ill try pulling my fuse tomorrow

I haven't done this yet, but I believe that stepping on the brake
disengages the high idle, so it's probably on the same circuit that
the fuse is on

yes, stepping on the brake will disable the high idle, I'll have to take a look at the diagram to figure out why removing the fuse disables high idle.
