I read a lot of good stuff here w/ a lot of different answers, what would be the largest tire i could run on my truck with just a leveling kit and no hacking into my truck? I have a stock 17" rim i would like to maintaine.

If you dont want to tie back anything or cut anything you should be able to fit 285's with no problem but it depends on what kind of mud flaps you got to

bfg 285s fit me fine and look 110 times better. Slight rub on back driver side plastic. Just need to take a set of scissors to the thing.

Same here. I have Duratrac 285/75/16's on mine with a ready lift leveling kit and it only rubs on the inner drivers side fender during full steering wheel lock. I could tie it back and solve the problem I am sure. Check out my garage for pics.
