Is it noraml to have 14" travel shocks in the rear?

we were lifting my truck up on the lift and the rear just kept drooping and drooping, we were like is it ever gonna stop
We got to looking and messuring my shocks and they are 14 inch travel fox's with my DEAVERS

I mean 14" shocks is what i run on my jeep for crawling and wheeling, thats a crap ton of travel for a Dmax

Not totalled settled yet but sitting on the ground, i think it goes down another inch when settled

I don't know if it's normal, but I have 4" deavers with 12" king shocks on my truck. I always thought that was a big shock for such a small amount of lift. There is more down travel then up travel, that's for sure.

I was shocked when we lifted it up, i think my LBZ had like 7" travel or so maybe 8"

I think my fronts are like 6"

I've always been a fan of stuffing the longest shock in there you can. If the shock doesn't limit compression then by all means it's fine.

I know you need at least a 12" shock in the rear if you have 6" deavers, I think when I did some measuring on mine I figured a 14" shock would be close and useable on a 6" rear lift. I think a 12" or a 14" will work. And on the front if you have Cognito stuff you need a 6.5" travel shock for a dual shock hoop setup.

I see you have Deavers with a 2" block, if there 6" deavers with a 2" block then a 14" should be perfect.
