I have a 2002 with a Duramax. While replacing the injectors I broke the red cover on the jump start box where the positive battery cables reside. The dealer parts guy just told me he has never sold one of these in his 13 years of working the GM counter (at a cost of $23 each I can see why). I replaced the altenator this weekend and will be disconnecting the batteries again to replace the serpentine belt and batteries. I checked with NAPA and they didn't have the cover.

Does anyone have the GM part number for the box or an aftermarket source for this thing?

Since I didn't get any replies for a part number on the jump start red box cover I just drilled a hole in the hinge side and put a zip tie on it. Works fine.
