Hello all!
I am currently researching the idea of trading my dodge in for a Dmax.;
I really am a chevy guy at heart but I like the cummins and it was cheaper at the time so... Anyways with the current deals GM is offering now I thought I would throw this out there for some feedback.
Current truck:
03 4x4 SB Quad cab
Cummins 48re 4.10
Patriot blue over Silver 21K miles
Mint steparails billet grill etc.
I owe 23850 on it
here is the truck I think I want Does this truck have anything missing that everyone always wishes they had ordered?
http://www.chevrolet.com/vehiclelocator/locateVehicle.do?currPage=2&&pvc=1801&make=ch&distance=0&mapURL=/locatedealer/cntrl?request=maps~~style=~level=~drivingLink=fals e~webSiteId=CH~mapLink=true~height=~width=~latitud e=38.78088~longitude=-83.56158~vendorId=112772.0&searchCode=1&filepath=dealer_inventory/&maximumCount=50&searchType=4&modelDesignator=CK25743&proximity=100&postalCode=&vehiclename=2005%20Silverado%202500HD%20Crew%20Cab %20Standard%20Box%204x4&year=2005&defaultpath=false&email=&isGMBP=true&searchState=OH&vModelId=&vendorId=112772.0&searchCity=west%20union

I am hoping to get out the door for a new note of 30500
IE: $34,910.72
- 3,000.00 Rebate
31,970.72
26,000.00 Trade in
5,970.72 Difference
447.80 Tax
6,418.52
+23,850.00 I owe
New Note = 30268.52

What do you guys think is my math ok , Do you think this deal is possible?
Thanks for any input you can provide

I just traded in my 04 4x4 F-250 Powerstroke Crew Cab. I picked up a 4x4 crew cab 6.6 leather. Gave them the Ford and wrote them a check for $3300 OTD. ;)

I don't think you will get a $3,000.00 rebate when you are getting employee pricing.
However, that would be nice, just a little to nice in this case.
As for your options, that rig has what I would want.

You DO get the 3000 rebate with the employee pricing that is out. I sell at a dealership in Utah and the discounts on Diesels are unreal. With the GMS price and the 3000 rebate, some of the discounts are 10 grand or more off of msrp. The only thing I would watch out for is the dealer trying to stroke you on your trade. This is the only real way that a dealer can make some money off of your deal. So if there are a few dealerships around you, I would go to each of them and get bids on your trade, and then take the highest bidder. I hope you enjoy your new truck!!

Also, that $34,910.72 price is with the rebate already. So refigure your numbers with the truck at that price.

Are you sure about that? I thought you got the rebate off of the employee price

You do get the rebate of 3,000 off with the employee pricing. Just purchased 2005 4*4 crew cab dually D/A. 50,315 sticker for 39,600 :ro) . Good luck in your search - buy now if you can. I have friends that bought 3 months ago and are pissed at the deal I got:muahaha:

From what I have seen at the dealers, the employee price includes all applicaple rebates. The bottom number is it. I believe the only other rebates that can be applied is the GM Card rebate....

after more research (calling a dealer I believe you are right.

The rebate is included in the emloyee price

Too bad if I could get the rebate off of the bottom line it would be a no brainer

The rebate IS NOT - I repeat IS NOT part of the employee price !!! Just purchased my truck 2 days ago. Take the employee price then subract the 3 grand and whatever else you qualify for. Happy purchasing.

Nope this has been confirmed and reconfirmed
go to the web site and click on gm employee price on a particular vehicle and thats it baby. Rebate is included

Here's the answer to our confusion:

The GMS price listed on the vehicle invoice does not include rebates, which are compatible with it. Rebates change from month to month, the GMS price is fixed for the life of the vehicle.

The employee price as listed on Chevrolet.com vehicle search or GM BuyPower DOES include the current rebate. Notice that under the price it states: "after applicable incentives".

So here are the numbers on the truck that we're talking about.
MSRP = 44783
GMS = 37910.72
rebate = 3000

The price shown if you follow that link is $34,910.72, which obviosly already has the rebate deducted.
But still, you're looking at nearly $10,000 off MSRP here, a hell of a deal.
