i was climbing up the mountains yesterday and my truck just all of the sudden lost all power. It was red lined and maybe going 5 mph. It shifts into gears very hard. I turned off and looked around nothing seemed wrong. I tried to come down the mountain and every thing was fine for about 125 miles. I have noticed my truck has been making a pinging or knocking sound when it gets into full power under load, until it shifts. Its been doing this for a few months now. I got it home, but i am afraid to drive it. If you turn it off and restart it it works fine for a while then slips into that quirk again. Its a 2005 lly model. I think it may be fuel injector trouble, but was wondering if anyone had this or knows about it?
