hey guys i just pluged in my programmer and noticed i had a code (b1480) which is Battery Rundown Protection Circuit.... i was wondering what this actually is and how do i fix it? another thing is that i was driving the other day for ab 100miles then almost home and i went to pass someone on the high way and and put the pedal down... i lost power, kinda of bogged down and the engine light came on... i let off then tried again and it just wouldnt pick up speed, stayed at about 60... few miles down it kinda went back to normall but i was scared to step on it again... i later turned the truck off then back on and the light wasnt on.. any info on this would be appreciated and sorry about the confusing post.

If you have the code for your battery run down cct, then it probably isn't functioning. Say you leave your dome light on by accident, the rundown cct protects your truck and turns everything off after 20 mins so you don't come out to a dead truck in the morning. As far as the check engine light after you stepped on it...you limped it somehow. You don't have a sig with any mods so its hard to say whether its an engine limp thats fuel related or a trans code thats tranny limp related. Fill out a sig so we can all help you out.

Sounds like engine limp. You should have another code set, I would guess P1098. May be fprv related.

The code may be because the key was on without starting the engine.
The bogging down might have been caused by a dirty fuel filter. Change the filter, clear the codes and drive it again.
High tuner settings will burn up a trans when it shifts 4 to 5 and 5 to 4. Be light on those shifts.
