hi everyone i have an 04 lb7 put a 4" motoblue exhaust system on 3years ago its fine and all but im sick of the throaty sound in the cab called rpm outlet where i purchased exhaust for a quiet tone down pipe but they dont offer it anymore any ideas on what i can do to quiet it down with out going back to stock? another type of muffler downpipe etc.

Check with magnaflow, MBRP, Silverline for a muffler you can cut in. Might give Nate a call at Performance Truck Products. Also one post is on the subject is all that is needed.

When I first put my exhaust on I like it alot, but I only had 1 5" tip, when I finally got around to buying new tips I bought som 4" tips from O'reilly's. They have a little preferated screen that is tack welded to the inner diameter of the tip so no restriction. But I tell you what, huge difference. I didn't even think it would make one bit of difference, but now I can't even hear the exhaust inside the cab until I really get on it.

@1600 rpm I used to get a wicked drone inside the cab, now it's all gone. I have pics in my garage. I woud like to get some 5" tips on there but the 4" don't look that bad IMO.

Ya im fighting the same problem went and installed an 4inch MBRP exhaust love the exhaust hate the drone in the cab. Im thinking i might try ordering the MBRP 4 inch/outlet Resonator and install it in the front pipe cause im with u i dont see any other options
