I have a 2007 chevy diesel dually with the hypertech max energy,airaid intake, banks speedbrake, and stock exhaust.
I have a new mobile suite fifth wheel ordered that will weigh 16.5--17k loaded. I plan on going out West where the big mountains are.
What power level on the hypertech max energy is safe to tow that much weight and keep the EGT's down in the safe zone? Also is it necessary to have the EGT gauge with this mild setup?

Thanks, I've been thinking about the EGT gauge again and decided it is a good idea too. I've installed other safety items, might as well add another one.
