 I was very pleased to hear from customer service at Meijer about
the quality of their diesel. As noted below: All Meijer diesel is treated
year round with Schaeffer Diesel additives. Please enjoy!!

 I did a little investigating...............
;) Looks like good stuff all year long......

Hi Kenneth, (That's Me (MiDmax) ):h

Sorry it took so long to get back with you, but I had to do some research. Here is what I found out from our main office. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Thanks!

Our diesel fuel is called premium because of the cetane rating. With the use of Schaeffer diesel additive, which we use year round, it puts our cetane at 45 or higher. The additive also has an antigel to protect the fuel from gelling in extreme cold temperatures. The additive also includes a biocide and moisture eliminator.

I always use Meijer or BP fuel, top quality from a MPG perspective.

I always find that the truck stop BP/Amoco stations give worse mileage. I have heard that it is due to the crude they use and their processing.

Mobil and Meijers fuel has always been good to me.

I had a 500 gallon tank installed at my business 2 years ago. Use Crystal Flash XC premium which is ony available for commercial accounts. The local Crystal stations dont have it and cannot get it. The XC has a minimum of 50 cetane, antigel, lubricates injectors, etc. Also have an external 2 micron filter and tank breather/dissecant installed. Very pleased.

Where are you getting your desiccant breathers? I wish I could find a place that sold them at a good price, since you can literally spend hundreds on a good breather/filter for your storage tanks.

I found the best diseccant/breather on this forum from one of the members. Off the top of my head [ my people at work take care of it now so i dont remember exact cost] it costs around 150.00/annually. The forum vendor that I buy it from is well regarded member of this forum, I will look up the name. Bp Premium is good but I would not use Marathon in West Mich. Marathon fuel used to come out of that terminal in Muskegon. This terminal used to have troubles with fuel coming out of there storage tanks.

Cool. I tend to use Meijer when I'm in GR just because I always have, that or the Crystal Flash on Alpine. They are some of the few that are open all night that I trust. With the 4 hour time difference, we were out at weird hours.

Man, it took me a minute to get the name right. We have Fred Meyer stores here in Alaska. Freaked me out at first...lol
