I need to replace the front rotors and am just looking for pics or advice on how to do it. I need to do it right the first time since I need this truck everyday. The dealer told me that I have to beat the lug nuts through to separate the rotor from the spindle. Then I have to unbolt the hub and remove it. Does that sound correct top anybody? Also are there any special tools that I need? Thanks guys!

There have been a few brake jobs mentioned in MD section. My Service manual mentions nothing about pounding the studs out. But you will need to remove the wheel speed sensor ring to get access to the bolts holding rotor to hub.

You pull the frt hub bearing and then drive out the wheel studs. Install the new rotor, drive the studs back in and reassemble. Should take a couple of hours after you get her in the air! On a 4WD the reluctor ring is part of the rotor.

Alright thanks guys! Now that I have confirmed what is needed to do I can get it done. I just wanted to make sure that it is done how I thought before I start to tear it apart.
