I have a blocker plate, finger stick and Banks 6-gun. No codes.

You will most likely get codes if you block your egr without a fingerstick or proper programmer.

Does the blocker plate help hold higher boost as well?

Anybody know if the blocker plate helps hold boost with wide open exhaust and intake?

It should. I've read that higher boost forces the EGR valve off its seat.

You can only build about 25 psi without the blocker plate, the EGR blows open.

i just put my block plate in my 06 lbz. ive got the six gun and the iq and i can clear the code it throws but it comes back. so i guess i gotta grab a finger stick.

i make up to 37 pounds of boost. you must be saying it makes that much, then opens.

You may be making 37 psi but your egr is open, put in a blocker I guarantee you will spool quicker and smoke less.

I like the smoke too, Mine would still black out the highway, but it would only do it for a few seconds and would clean up. Before I installed the blocker I could fog the highway for a good 10-15 seconds before it cleaned up.

This may sound stupid. Does my 02 have an egr? If so, where is it located.
Thanks

Only the California LB7's had EGR's. You shouldn't have one. If you do it would be on the top of the passenger side. Also you'll have a vacuum pump.

just ordered mine. hoping it lets me get more boost like you said.. i only do aboug 24psi now

i did not order a fingerstick. whats my chances of limping w/o one? or is it just going to throw a egr code? already throwing one as it is, so if its just a code i wont care.. I look at the CEL as telling me that the engine is running. lol
