Ok guys need some help. We have a 03 duramax pulling truck with stage V allison. We went through the motor last winter upgrading almost everything. When we was there we swapped the converter from a 1057 to a 1055 because of the larger turbo. We left the TTS computer on there for the first couple pulls. We then switched to efi live. After a couple pulls the torque converter will not lock up unless you lift off the throttle, but even if it does lock up, as soon as you go even part throttle it will unlock. It acts like it is stuck in second gear going down the pulling track and we have very little ground speed.

We have tried alot of different tunes in the trans with the efi live and will not help at all. Had several tuners trying to help out and suggested we get a co-pilot. That is fine except we want to make for sure that will actually fix the problem. I know its a high stall converter but is it possible to have a converter or trans problem? Thanks guys for the help.

I have not tried the TTS computer back in. I am sure it will be the same issue though. We have tried stock tunes all the way to modified trans tunes from nick on the efi live.

Next step is a converter change and see if it fixs the problem.
