I have a crew cab, its already tinted to 20% on the front windows, with stock tinting in rear. Was thinking of 5% on the fronts and a layer of 20% on the stock tint. Totally darken it. What do you guys think?

Tint strip on winshield? yes no

I'd like to go a bit darker myself. I put 15% all the way around and thinking about pulling on the front two and going w/ 5%, can't see through that. The rest of the windows were factory tinted so the 15 totally blacked them out. Will be putting a strip on the winshield at the same time. :ro)

Since we're on the subject.

Can a tint shop remove the tint easily and re-do?I noticed the other day I have two scratches where the wiper made contact! One on each side

Sucks hard to see but I can

I wish I could special order replacement glass with the tint between the panes like factory not stick on :(

I'd pay for this product

I think tint on the windows usually goes on the inside of the glass, Mac. :D Don't get me wrong as I might have misinterpreted your post but I have never seen anybody put window tint on the exterior of a truck. And to answer your question yes they can remove tint easily and re-do and recommend them doing it b/c they fool with it everyday and pretty much have it down to a science.

It's on the inside and I cannot believe it's scratched already.Isn't there a felt wiper of sorts or something?Something scratched it uniform on both sides :wtf:

Gonna try a different ghetto tint shop this time,I'll ask the next Ricer I eat up alive :D

Oh you mean the side windows. Yeah, that is possible. Maybe the rollers or guides that are in the window when it rolls down?

I've got a double layer of 15%, which equals 5% all around my windws and I got that roller scratch like on the first time I rolled down the windows. With the darker tint you only see the scratch when there is absolute direct sunlight on it.

5% is the way to go.

On my rig I have 5% aka limo tint on all windows front and back with a windshield strip across the top as well Very peaceful when rolling kinda intersting when backing up on a dark evening out, you get used to it though. As for removal to replace yes they can remove and reinstall, if you are close to where you got it tinted initially, they should warent it, most of the shops here will to keep the customer happy.

I have limo all around. I love it. But like crewcab03 said at night its a little tough. The worst was when i tried to back my trailer down the loading dock at night w/ no boat on it!! I could not see anything. Being that im in AZ its well worth it. Note that it is illegal and here in AZ they have meteres they put on your window to measure the amount of light passing through. I got pulled over and ticketed w/ my last truck

I gotcha now, Thought you meant windshield wipers Mac. Never had the problem on any of my trucks. Like they siad, It gets a little tricky trying to back up at night w/ limo, especially after a couple. ;)

5% all around except for winshield, will be coming soon. Very dark, EVERY ONE notices, and can't even tell if the cargo light is working or not. DARK. Wouldn't have it any other way.

i put 5% on the back 2 which makes it negitive cause its stock 20%.
on the front 2 i put 20%.
on the rear window i put 20% which made it 5% im gonna add another 20% to the backwindow to make it negitive like the back 2.

u dont need any on the front window if all the others are dark maybe alittle above the A2line
