Hey got a question for everyone.

i have an 04.5 lly with leather interior power everything with heated seats. havent had any problems with any of the power options until monday of this week. took the truck into the dealership as a friend of mine is the service manager, and had them look at the drivers seat. heres what happens, say you put the heated seat on high, it will come on (you hear the relay kick on), but it will only stay on for about 10 seconds. if you put on the heated back rest on high, it will come on and stay on but get so hot that you can't sit in the seat. they only other problem that i have noticed is that when you press the button for driver 1 settings the seat will only move part of the seat to the saved setting. its like its forgot the settings or something. anyways dealership says they have to tear apart the drivers door, and take out the drivers seat and see whats up. dont know that i want them to do that. i asked if there was a re-set for the settings button, they said no. you just re-set the settings over top of what was there. i am more concerned about the heated seat part as i dont want to start a fire with it getting so hot. dealer said they havent seen this ever not sure of what is gonig on. has anyone seen this before or have any insight as to whats going on before i tear it apart for myself or stop using it all together.

I have exactly the same problem with the heated seats. Don't know about the Driver 1/Driver 2 seat position problem. Am going to discuss with the Dealer next time I go there. Hope he dosn't charge me $90 for a TechII diagnosis.
