okay, i think i am down to those two at this point in time, but have not heard much here about the superchips...input please....:confused:

Don't have any experience with super chips but I can highly reccomend the Pred.:ro)

I personally feel that the Superchips tuner is the smoothest overall driveability of any tuner out there. It has much quicker spool than some programs and very respectible EGT. Yes it is not the king of horsepower but it is plenty for a stock trans. So many LLy programmers exagerate the prexisting surge. The power is very linear and smooth even on high.With the newest Gm file I feel this has awsome driveabilty. What good is all that power if driveability is poor. Very little smoke and mileage increase. Over 30 installed no complaints.

thanx for the input...this was the type of info i have been waiting to hear about "other "types of programers other than the predator, plus the super chips is readily available at a local speed shop i frequent.

Did you get your custom tune for your Pred? If so, how do you go about getting one? I have the Predator and love it. I only run it on the 40 and 65 hp tunes. That is all I need, but the egt's scare me a little. I would like more info on the custom 65 hp tune. Thanks in advance.

The Superchip does run pretty good. However, I still feel the Predator is the better tuner. In fact, we have let customers try the Superchip for a day and then the Predator, they always end up getting the Predator. Hope this helps.

Had hyper tech liked it alot, but did not remove speed limiter. Once i got trans done wanted more power, so tried pred. It will kick the snot out the hypertech. Pred will remove speed limiter.

Does the Preditor require a tranny upgrade? I am running the Hypertech on the highest setting (90 hp) with NO other modifications. It seems fine so far.

I would not run on higest setting with out up grade. the pred on 85 setting feels stronger than hyper tech on 90. Get tranny done you will dig the pred on 100.

Superchips already screw me once, so I did not bother trying their LLY product.

I imagine if they come out with something impressive, I'll test one, but for now, they are too little, too late, for too much.

For half the cost of an Edge with Attitude, it will take the truck to the limits of the transmission. Sure it does not change power levels on the fly, or watch EGT’s for you, but what do you want for $400? The biggest problem is that power is addictive and eventually you will want more.

i am with ssduramax i am happey with my predator and i had a hypertech in a 00 gasser and had problems with it
