I haven't seen much on the superchip on this site. Just wondering if there is a problem with them. Thinking about an Edge EZ, but I know couple of people that have the superchip and they seem happy with it.

Does the Edge EZ foul up the DIC?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I am think of one of these two also. I called superchip today and they were extremly helpful. They are close to home for me as well. I think iwill go with them but still not 100% sure.

all programmers or plug in devices mess up the DIC fuel used and mpg read out

I do remember hearing Kennedy say one of his wasn't messing up his dic. It might have been edge, but you should ask him.

Just installed the superchips today. I put in the lowest setting and the truck runs really well now. I have no problems at all.

Norm,

The SC will make a lot more HP and has adjustable HP levels if you don't mind reprogramming etc. The EZ is great and adjustable on the fly but is limited to approx 65 HP. If you're going to use more than 65 HP you might want to consider gauges too!. We stock them both, if you have any questions just call us and we will be glad to help you.

Mark,

Thanks for the info. I already bought an EZ. Bought it locally. The shop had one that had been used so I got a decent deal on it. I'm still thinking I should maybe get some gauges.

I don't plan on running it at the highest level, but I'm still concerned about EGT's when towing.

When I get ready, I'll give you a call. I've been on your site a lot lately.

Norm,

Great love it when somebody gets a deal, not too many out there this day and age. Gauges are a good idea, cal us when you're ready etc, have fun!

Norm,
I ordered my superchip but it hasen't come in yet. How well do you like it does it have plenty of power over stock. Let's face it these trucks run great stock or we would not have bought them. So to make it run even better is awsome. I just hope its worth the money. Thanks

I just got back from a 450 mile trip pulling about 4000 lbs. (I know that's not much).

I averaged 17 mpg at speeds of 60-70. Had a head wind for 200 miles of the trip. Kept it on setting #1. It did NOT mess up my DIC. As a matter of fact I think it's more accurate now than it was before. I was always .3 to .5 off before. Now it's with in .1.

On setting #3 it has all the power I want. I don't want to mess up my ali. When the turbo spools up it will set me back in my seat.

I haven't had a chance to use it for any distance without towing, or head wind to find out if it helped my mileage or not. I also got on it more than I would have stock so that I'm sure dropped my mpg some. The truck does run better, accel's better.

I'm not disappointed with it. For some it will not be enough. For me it seems to be what I was looking for.

Norm,
Now that you have had it in for some time, what do you think?

I bought a SC programmer off ebay. Plugged it in last week, what a hoot. Tried it on the low setting for a day, then put it on the hi-per for a few hours ,what a f Censored g blast. Put it back to the mid setting and really like the way that side performs. Would recommend it for anyone , cheapest 200 bucks I ever spent.Don't want to talk about fuel milage , can't keep my foot out of it . It is a 05 lly.

The Superchips is awsome I ran it on my truck for 50,000 miles on the 125 hp setting with no problems. I just recently upgraded to the PPE Hot Xcelerator LLY and it is unreal. I had the tranny upgraded this past month with PPE stage III kit to take the 240hp / 390 tq setting and was told that it looked perfect. After running the Superchips on the highest setting there was no damage to the tranny and it was fast as hell. I have a buddy with a 03' lightning and took him 5 truck lengths from a dead stop in 4wh at full boost. After that it was even steven and he could not gain on me all the way to 120 mph.

You will like the Superchips tunner it it superb product for the money.
