mannytranny 06-02-2005, 10:19 PM Any ideas?
I plan to run 99% of the time on the 70 hp setting, but I know that sooner or later Ill be apt to flip that switch........

Depends on how you drive manny....
You drive like you're chasing down a mexican worker that just stole a bushel from you.):h.you're going to slip the clutch.
Normal everyday driving, shifting below 2000, I would think that it won't..
It's all going to depend on your right foot pressure..
mannytranny 06-02-2005, 10:39 PM Lets just say I floored it in 4th, 5th, or/and (:ro)) 6th gears from 2000 rpm to redline each time.
Trouble? :o:

I'm running the predator with the 100hp program all the time manny...
If I run it hard, I can feel the pedal doing strange things..it's only a matter of time before that clutch gives me the one finger wave..
Thankfully, there's a yoyo in colorado that's planning on producing a better clutch for these trucks soon..):h
mannytranny 06-03-2005, 12:05 AM Really? Who?

Here ya go Manny, Super Diesel Power Posse might be at it again. You can bet it will be first rate.
MaxRock 06-03-2005, 09:23 AM manny,
I was looking at purchasing a used 0-70-150 from one of the members. The more I thought about it, the more I knew I was going to get into trouble. I'm planning on buying a 0-70-110, I believe the clutch can handle this.
Have you installed the VA yet? How is the throttle response, do you have the surge at 1800-2000 RPMs?

Michigana_Joe2 06-03-2005, 10:15 AM The stock clutch should hold fine. The DMF, however, would likely develop a split personality before too long. 4th, 5th, and 6th is where the damage is done (the higher the gear, the more stress on the flywheel).
mannytranny 06-03-2005, 11:11 AM Max, the VA is supposed to arrive today....Well see!
It had better hold, or Ill be on the 70 setting all the time.......2200 bucks is a lot of green..........but I am sure it will be the best clutch/flywheel out there.......
gearhead 06-03-2005, 11:53 AM my stock clutch will not hold level 4 or 5 on the Edge and some times not even level 3

Manny..send IBDMAXI'N a pm (he's the yoyo I'm referring to) ):h
Sooner or later you're going to need a clutch setup anyway...If you're running extra power, it's just a matter of time before the flywheel gives up and/or the clutch starts slipping.
duramaxedout 06-03-2005, 04:34 PM Here is where you want to post you interest as we are trying to determine interest here in the Diesel Place. Or send me or IBDMAX'IN a PM.

Im pretty sure that she holds WOT from 65-95 in 6th......but it sure does make a good bit of rattle. Sounds bad, but with acceleration like that, something has got to make some noise...........
