Im new here so im trying to get some help on my current problem. Bottom line is GM has the truck towed in for the Injector problem. The truck will not start but the engine turns over. Dealer burns the starter up and strips out the bolt at the back of the head for the fuel return line. GM and dealer say its my problem. I say its GM's problem because of not taking care of the injectors in the 1st place and therefore my truck is now in the none starting mod. Since its in the none starting mode the tests they tried to perform caused my current problems. The GM customer service man sure did contradict himself told me there was no special policy on my 2002 truck. HE WAS THE ONE WHO CALLED THE DEALER IN THE FIRST PLACE TO TELL THEM ABOUT THE SPECIAL POLICY AND FOR THE DEALER TO PICK UP MY TRUCK. The special policy was written on my work order. Also the dealer whited out parts of my work order and changed it AFTER HAVING THE STARTER PROBLEMS. NOW AFTER The PROBLEMS WITH THE DEALER, THE GM GUY AT CUSTOMER SERVICE TRIED TO TELL ME THERE IS NO SPECIAL POLICY AND THE THE LETTER I RECIEVED WAS JUST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. Any how there are alot more details, but thats were my issues are.

If the dealer changed the starter and it hasn't left their hands yet, it's their responsibility to fix it. As far as special policy, I'm assuming your talking about the 200,000 mile warranty on injectors. It does exist.

After the dealer burned up the starter. I called the GM rep. Told him I was having it towed to have the starter put in at a starter repair shop to get the starter fixed. For $287bucks verses $920 at the dealer. Then I was not going to let the 1st dealer work on it since he didnt take responsiblity for the starter. The man that replaced the starter told me he did not test the starter in the truck because he was afraid that the engine could be hydrolocked because of to much fuel in the cylinders. He also said that there was diesel on the bottom of the truck. After having the Starter replaced I then had it taken to another dealer. The other dealer found the stripped out bolt. Now the the second dealer called the 1st dealer and the second dealer told me the 1st dealer never did any testing because of the bad starter. I went to the 1st dealers shop to see about why my starter was not working and I saw parts removed on my engine and some clear plastic tubes for measuring on top of the engine at the back part by the firewall. Right over the head that has the Stripped out bolt. They are terrible liars......

Good luck with that, some dealers can be a real pain in the ass. GM wonders why people get rid of a Gm product & go somewhere else.

I have recorded my conversations with everyone and I am now talking with a local news tv station. They have a program that I believe can address most of my concerns publicly very well. I wonder how many people in my area have been dealt with like I have. The GM customer service guy is the best recording. He sticks his foot in his mouth doing his best to confuse me or missinform me. I wonder how many people he has done that with before me. I even told him that I had been recording everything. I was also told he is a manager. I feel the media is more powerful than my attorney.... Then after the news I will be picketing the dealership. I will hire some retired people and out of school students to help in my efforts.... If you cant tell im just a little upset... Maybe GM reads this page.... I wonder if I can share with everyone on the Internet my conversation with the GM guy.... Im telling you it is really good. I did record it digitally. Should be a good talking point....

Just remeber Gm is a huge company with lots of money, they can drag you threw the mud for awhile.

once again the biggest problem with GM is the dealers, where are you located and how many miles on your truck.

I would have to agree. If they burnt the starter why in the world would you take responsibility for it? I realize you were probably po'd about it and wanted to get it out of there, but that is just helping them out. Once you take the truck somewhere else, that gives them the opportunity to deny they did anything to the truck. They can then say it was the other shop you took it to that screwed it up.
