So I've ready 100's of threads about lift pumps, but I still have questions. Is there just one "lift" pump to supply the CP3? If so, is it engine mount? Who is the best replacement?

there is NO lift pump unless you or someone else installed it

The injection pump in the valley (Bosch CP3) uses section to suck the fuel from the tank up to the motor, so there is no remote mounted lift pump. Are you having a fueling issue?

The Duramax does not come with a lift pump, but the best option for one is the Airdog II. Easy install, adjustable regulator, excellent warranty, it just cant be beat.

Whats the big deal with airdog??? Please someone tell me??? I don't really care for the airdog. Its loud to me and to big and bulky. I like my kennedy twin pumps they're dead quite and flow really well and also have a good warrenty.

When you guys speak of lous, what do you mean? Can you hear it while the truck is running? My 4" straight pipe is loud too! Why are these damn things so expensive? I don't want to drop $600 on something that "MIGHT" take care of my issues.

$600 is well worth it for a Lift pump. Whether you go with FASS or Airdog they are both comparable the fass is a little louder. meaning when you turn the key on you will hear a whine but is rarely heard while the truck is running. These pumps constantly filter the fuel in your tank. Mine is the 150 series so it filters 150 gallons of fuel every hour. NOt to mention the filters are 2 micron versus most stockers which are 7 micron. and the water seperator will keep air and water from you injectors and CP3 which will cause them to go out. i would reccomend everybody with a Dmax gets a lift pump

So how much of the gain would you attribute to the pump, and how much to the filter? I'm thinking the pump is well worth it on its own.

The lift pump will make your tune feel stronger in the mid and upper rpm's. If you are runnning a strong tune. The extra filtration is nice, it allows you to go longer on the factory fuel filter as well.

If I can help let me know we have some great deals with our Black Friday pricing.

So is air dog one of the best for a big hp tune. I am losing another pump and want something that will last and can keep the fuel up. What's the best price for one?

Go with Kennedy you'll be glad you did atleast I am. The good thing about the kennedy pump is that its easy to install and you can get dual lift pumps or get dual lift pumps with a filter he sells them either way. Now from my personal experience with the kennedy pumps they are top notch in my opinion and will flow more than enough fuel at good pressure. Kennedy's pumps do what lifts pumps are supposed to do they flow a high volume of fuel at 3-4psi single pump and 8-9psi with dual pumps which is what a Duramax needs high volume flow not just pressure. They are dead quiet and keep up really well with the mods I have on my 2006 Duramax. Sooner or later I'll be purchasing another Kennedy twin pump filter combo kit for my 2002 Duramax.
