I was changing oil today there was some oil on trans just behind the oilpan.Is bad rear seal common on these? or is this nothing ?:confused:

Bad rear seal common ? no Bad oil pan gasket? yes dewhart 06-03-2005, 11:50 AM pan gasket........same on my '02 D/A Diesel Power 06-03-2005, 01:34 PM could be the vent tube. look on the front P/S of the engine. you will see a tube sticking down pointing straight at the ground.. a small amount of oil comes out of there on mine, and then it gets blown to the rear of the engine/front of the tranny.. not enough to drip but it makes it messy.. ssm58 06-03-2005, 05:41 PM Thanks Brinker007, I will check it out better before I take it to stealer,98,000 miles on it, no warranty soon. | ||
