I have glanced through about 300 posts on my first visit to this board and everyone seems to get the answers that they need, I thought I'd give it a try.
Here's the situation...
I have a 1997 Gmc 3500 with a 6.5 Diesel in it. All of a sudden It aquired a heavy smoke condition. And when I mean smoke I mean people think the truck is on fire :-( I thought I would take a swing at it and have the injection timing adjusted. No change I'm getting oil out of the tailpipe if I let it idle in one place for too long. The only conclusion I can come up with is that the rings have taken a crap. If there's any other avenue's to persue to try to diagnosis this issue please feel free to comment.
Thanks in advance
