I just received my Edge Juice. Slapped it on and uploaded the Stock ECM from my Predetor. So I am running just the Edge Juice on #4
Is it me or does the Predetor on the 40hp tune feel faster than the Edge on 100hp (#4) I can barely feel any difference???
From a stop I hit WOT I get no tire spin and just a bit of smoke.
With my Predetor on 40hp I would get a ton of smoke and some wheel hop.
I don't have the Attitude.
so besides movin the gear shift P N R N P...and listing for the revs. Is there another way to tell if the box is working?

It looked like the box was an open box when I got it. AND it didn't have any directions...had to download them from the website.

Is your truck engine temp at 160 deg or higher? The edge starts to come on at 160 deg and increases to full power at 180deg engine temp.
My Edge runs seems to run stronger than the predator on my truck. I'm still waiting to do a good 1/4 with the edge. I ran the 1/4 with the predator 100hp tune, 2wd, no spool up, T/H off and the time was 15.6sec. I ran it this morning with the edge 5/5 (same parameters as before) but a heavy drizzle made traction bad. I kept having to get off the peddle to keep my rear end straight in all gears and I did a 15.9sec 1/4 mile. both of these runs were up hill also.

I'm running the predator on 40hp and adding level 1 or 2 juice and there is a lot of difference.
Set juice to 0 and it has quite a power let down.
Seems to me some others made comment on the LLY and the reduced power in 1st gear and the juice not adding much in low gear.
Maybe the predator gets rid of the low gear power reduction.

I don't have an LLY but....it could be the Edge defueling. The Edge might feel faster if you bumped it down a setting or two(where it won't defuel due to slip). You don't have any trans. protection with the Pred.

Try the predator on 40hp and the juice level 1 towing, mine plays w/ 15,000 on trailer.

ya i zinged my tranny with the predator on 100 WOT @80mph, never with the edge

I've ran both at the top power levels. The edge I run now with defueling off between shifts since I got the tranny done. The edge seems stronger IMO. I do like the Edge 5/5 and Pred 40hp stack since they seem to play nice together.

The edge protects the tranny by backing off before a zing, the predator will not. Doesn't mean the Predator is more powerfull.

The edge may not "zing" the trans like the predator, however, it is capable of slipping the trans and turning the clutches a pretty shade of brown.
How do you suppose it knows when to defuel?????????

I don't disagree at all. I'm just saying it is safer then the predator to some extent.

After driving it a day with the edge on 3 and 4 going back and forth. The Predetor has more off the line and maybe a little more between shifts.
Definatly lower egts and that is why i got the edge. The Predetor was way too hot for Towing.
