I am installing my mbrp downpipe, it has been simple up to the point I'm at now. I cannot get the turbo flange and downpie flange to butt up. Any recommendations on how to go about this? I tried getting a small hammer to tap, but not enough room.
Thanks!
It's on my 2006 Duramax

The downpipe fits inside the turbo if I remember correctly. I cleaned both parts and then I got it close and then started wigglying it back and forth till it seated. hecked for no gap and then installed the lower bolt. That's about all I can say, maybe someone else will chime in.

There is usually a bit of soot that builds up on the flange of the turbo, get a Scotch Brite pad back there and wipe it down, that will usually take care of it.

I cleaned the surfaces and sprayed penatrating oil, went right in in a minute. After I had been trying for 30 minutes ha ha!!
I am installing the EGR blocker next, any recommendations, gaskets etc?
