First off I did not write up this DIY. But I think for many of us we tend to focus on oil changes tranny fluid changes and to a lessor degree the diffs and Transfer case. As for me, I have to have this flush done and will be doing it today using a DIY by Hookem-Horns a mod on the Chev GMC Diesel Forum.

If we don't have a DIY on this subject, then it might not be a bad idea to add. Info is good - regardless of its origin.

Pretty simple thing to do...just need to git er done.

To update, I did in fact do the flush..took all of about 30 minutes and clean fluid came out. I had to refill the reservoir about 4 times before that happened. What came out was pretty brown and filled with crud. I supoose eh..?, it hadn't been ever done and I'm getting up there in mileage. The only ATF fluid I had was Transynd - and that is what is in there now. We shall see how well that works.

Nice easy DIY. No special tools needed and not having to buy a new Hydro boost pump or other parts at some point...works for me.
