Tanc Crusher 11-17-2009, 03:18 PM Yes the 2006 was the last year for the 8.1L in the Suburban and Avalanche 2500 GMT-800 series. 2007 started the GMT-900 platform and the Suburban only offered the 6.0L on 2500 and the Avalanche 2500 was dropped completely.
