i have a duramax/allison combo and i was curious what temp on the tranny is to hot. mine got to 250 the other day and the fluid smells burnt.

There was a thread about this somewhere.

Basically anything over 230 for extended time is bad. 250F you better pull over and cool the trans off, and limp home because your fluid is now toast.

definately doesnt sound good on an 05'. mine never hits 200 with the bullydog at 50hp.

On the bright side, if you can sustain 250F for a long time, you can get a NEW tranny from GM. J/K
