: What do you think?
BIGBLOCKBILL 06-02-2005, 01:05 AM I've been thinking about painting my Dmax for quite sometime,I was leaning towards blue until I ran accross this on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4553066678&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
I think it looks great, why doesn't GM offer this color?
Reineke 06-02-2005, 01:30 AM You can order one in that color or close to it. It is called Tangier Orange if I remember correctly. There is a Tahoe where I bought my truck from that has one that color. There has also been Silverado's and Avalanches there too.
_nar_ 06-02-2005, 01:36 AM Because they are cheap, so they only offer so many color choices. Usually if they get 8-10 orders for a custom color then they will do it. Like the yellow trucks you see around...
Interesting color there. Do it...
Biterman 06-02-2005, 09:27 AM fugly.....
BullydogPowered 06-02-2005, 12:51 PM i would check out House of Kolor Paints before you decide. www.HOKPaint.com (http://www.HOKPaint.com) screen might not do them justice though. i helped a friend paint a boat with some of their colors last weekend, very sweet colors.
BlueOx03 06-02-2005, 03:37 PM I'm pretty sure they do offer that color, it may be special order as stated before. I've been on the road a ton this year and I've seen a bunch of GM trucks that color, now that I think about it a bunch wre out in MO. Maybe a dealer or two are ordering them that way...
Max Power 06-02-2005, 03:42 PM I believe that if you are a fleet buying you can order in any color you want.
Z71 Grizzly 06-02-2005, 07:50 PM I think if you added some brown stripes it would scream " Cleveland Browns" mascot.):h
TheBac 06-02-2005, 10:21 PM Looks like the standard MDOT orange truck shade right there....
BBB, I know you are a painter, so to complete the look, just remember to leave a lot of "orange peel" in the paint.... Then it would look very realistic!
Tom
BIGBLOCKBILL 06-02-2005, 11:26 PM Don't forget a few runs,some dirt,and a thin spot or two.GM's still not as bad as Mopar.:D

9W3-HD 06-03-2005, 09:52 PM I like it, I wanted a little different color also so I ordered a yellow one, I thought it would look good, a big yellow crewcab, lifted with lots of chrome..and when it came in, it wasnt what I had pictured, adullish yellow, not bright at all, black air dam, black flares, looked like a bumble bee, come to find out any special order color had the black attire. -:t
mille-ryan 06-05-2005, 12:58 AM Thats a damm good looking truck.Im a sucker too for the new yellow ones, I had a yellow 00 dodge, but couldnt afford the yellow Duramax.
