Hey All,
I am going to be pulling a wide trailer with my 04' LLY GMC SLE crew cab 2500HD D-max and would like a set of the new large extending tow mirrors, like the ones on the new trucks. I am looking at buying a set on ebay and I currently have power mirrors/ Non-heated/ no turn signal in the mirror. Wondering if anyone knows which set I should buy. Is there a way that I could make a heated/turn signal/ power mirror work on my truck without too much work? Cause that would be sweet! Thanks.

I had the power, turn , heat and bought a set of extend able factory they plugged right in, the hard part was running the wire and getting the door panel off

I already had all those features on my old mirrors so everything plugged right up. There is more information in the exterior section. There's a thread about Kool-Vue mirrors that has all kinds of install information for nearly all body style and mirror combinations. Just search "kool-vue" when you get there. Will probably only be a page or two back depending on your settings. I haven't been in there today, but it stays fairly refreshed.

I bought mine from fenderworld.com and yes if the wiring is there which I think it is you can install the mirrors then have the BCM flashed to make the heater and turn signals work.

I have a 2004 Chev. 2500 crew cab that had the small factory mirros with heat, signals and power folding. The only problem with them is that they don't extend out for towing applications. I purchased a pair of Shefenneckers (spellin) that work great. Everything hooked up perfectly. The only thing is that they don't offer the power folding option. They have a large mirror area and a large convex mirror. I think they are great!

Just my 2 cents!

Anyone seen any mirrors for our Chevys that resemble the newer Dodge mirrors with the flip up mirror sections?

Yeah the ones from GMpartsdirect.com are true gm mirrors that are plug and play. I had heated with power adjust only, the new ones are heated with power adjust and blinkers. The extension is by had though. If you do a search for tow mirrors, the part numbers are listed.
