I don't know about the name but I do know that you'll be needing a warning sticker mounted on the front of your hood that say "Caution, may inhale birds and small children" :ro)

'SUPER SUCKER INSIDE!'

Kind of a take on 'intel inside'

wait ... what an idea!

Do an ATS in script with the same circle design that intel uses

I saw one of them today at PPE. Pretty impressive. The impeller is 5-axis CNC milled from billet, with 2 stage blades. Exhaust turbine appears to be from an existing large turbo with lots of blades and a very sharp angle of insidence for the trailing edge.

The bronze (brass?) turbo pedestal is VERY heavy duty with an emphasis on heavy.

I think I've seen one of those before but I can't remember where

I see the exhaust side uses a same/similar 10 blade exducer that Turbonetics uses!

AWESOME efficiency if it is.

im gonna try and take some pics during the install to try and help pther that wanna do their own turbo installs, im gonna do it in two stages.

1) just turbo. since i hafta pull the tranny and fab up something to hook into the downpipe.

2) modded cp3, injects, and studs. this will be good cause i dont hafta mess with pullin the tranny and hookin up the down pipe. pullin the turbo off the pedestal (if needed) isnt hard at all.

wish me luck

OK how do i get to the last bolt on the turbo where it mounts to the block or whatever. do i need to remove the wastegate to get to it....im thinkin so but that was my stopping point for the night...well morning anyway.

Hey, don't knock it if you haven't tried it :D I'm telling you, until someone else does it, you'll have to take my word, but once someone else does take the cab off, it will be the next best thing since sliced bread ):h

It will be interesting to see if he makes the pull tonight, and how she holds together without headstuds. I'll go out on a limb and say he'll be allright for a while, but for how long

I think with out adding bigger injectors he should be ok, he wont have near enough fuel to do much damage I dont think.

CP3 in the air..?

RyanU
06-04-2005, 12:21 PM
i have the studs sittin on the shelf, just didnt wanna undertake to much in one weekend. hopefully in the next 3 weeks ill have injectors, cp3 and studs in.

i have about 4.5 hours to put the tranny back in to be able to make the pull. we'll see how it goes.

Ryan, glad you were able to get the trans in easier then you thought... sometimes you get lucky and just hear a tha-wump!

You'd have a better chance of making that pull if you were working on the truck and not on the internet....

RyanU
06-05-2005, 01:38 PM
well its in and runnin but i cant move the truck my buddy broke one of the fittings on the passenger side that go to the transmission cooler.
I wonder how hard these are to find?

Eric i cant get the dipstick tube in either. I think its gonna take some modifications to it too.

UGH maybe one day ill be able to drive it.

Any updates? Inquiring minds want to know. Those new babies tend to keep you up at all hours of the night and give you a serious lack of sleep. Then there are the feedings…;)

RyanU
06-07-2005, 04:16 PM
well tranny had to come back out....replaced front seal. its back in now just need to stick the driveshafts in it, plug up some wires and some minor stuff. hopefully i pulled some good hillbilly engineering and the fitting will work for a while till the new one comes in. with all luck she'll be on the road in a couple of hours.

im hittin 2 pulls this weekend so she should be fed good...well if evewrything goes well
