Not sure what just happened. I was hooked up to this guy's truck, started reading his ECM.....gets halfway through, and the whole download stops.
Now, the truck is sitting in my driveway and it will not do anything. I cannot read the ECM and I can't even program to it either.
HELP!!!!!
My number is 870-715-5205 if you can lend me a hand and walk me thru recovering his ECM

What sort of vehicle is it?
Have you tried to disconnect the battery for 30 seconds, and shut down your software, then reconnect everything
Cheers

Is it fixed? IIRC there where some issues with the latest updates and LLYs. Something about just letting the truck sit for 20 mins before continuing.

What kind of errors get when you try to read the tune? Bootloader?

Turned out to be a rookie mistake....I needed to pull the radio/information fuses to access the ECM. About 1 minute into downloading his stock tune from his ECM, it would stop and tell me could not read the file. Truck would not start and I could not get my computer to read his "corruted" file. WHEW!!
Many thanks to the guys that called and pointed me in the right direction. Mike L, Guy Trippen, Idaho Rob, McRat and Kat, Nick...I owe you guys a cold one!
