I think I might have some crappy fuel. Seams to run rough when the tank gets low. I just put a new filter on and wonder how long you would normaly wait to change it out again. thus being dirty fuel.

Your normal interval or when the filter plugs up. Thats why you should carry extra filters with you. A bad enough tank of fuel could plug your filter almost right away.

For some reason my truck started running rough and then would hardly run at all. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the whole injection system. Right before I brought it in I changed the filter as a last resort. Maybe one tank through that filter. The other day after I got it back I let it run down until the fuel light went on. I noticed I got some inconsistant injector knock and the throttle would surge 100-200 rpm while sitting at a light and with light acceloration. I filled it up and it went away. I put diesel kleen 911 but it still seams like has a louder than normal injector noise. Can the filter get clogged even after one tank or should I look further into it?

P.S. I have the Edge disconnected since it went to the dealer.

It can clog real soon if there is enough crap in the tank- I would monitor VERY closely, and if any doubt change out the filter again. Very cheap insurance!!!!!
