I have a 2003 DMax/Allison with about 26k on it, and I had the intermittent "Service ABS" coming up on the DIC about every 5th startup. Had the TSB 03-05-25-003 performed on my truck 2 weeks ago (ABS computer re-flash) at Chevy dealer.
Now the question. I was averaging 17-17.5 MPG on the DIC in short trip driving (30 miles one way or so) before the reflash. Now, truck won't hardly crack 16 MPG on same exact trips. Also had oil & filter changed same day. Is there any correlation between ABS computer re-flash and MPG? I asked dealer about LLY re-flash the same day, and they said it was current code in computer.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but they always say "what changed last"...... Any thoughts?
