Hey guys, i have a 2006 chevy silverado 2500 crew cab short box 4x4. no wi wanna put on the smoothest 6" lift, i was thinking the complete skyjacker kit including the rear leafs and shocks. let me know what your opinions are and reasoning too.

Lots of choices, really depends on you. Are you pockets large or on a budget? What sort of aftermarket accessories are you looking at getting?

Cognito 7-9. It's a true 7" lift, no need to crank torsion bars up high keeping a very nice ride. Check garage. Go with Bilstein shocks and Deaver rear springs.

Im not looking on spending too much, maybe 3 grand or so. i plan on the lift, tires, EFI live, suncoast tranny, tie rod sleeves, road armor bumpers, some kind of air bags for towing (which i also need help with). What is the cognito kit worth in canadian dollars....

BDS and Cognito are great choices... Make sure to upgrade your steering while you are doing the suspension... It is better to do it right the first time. It will save you money.

order from nor-cal with the dollar at close to par you will be money ahead. i priced all my stuff out here in canada and then from nor-cal and save close to 2k

with a wish list like that youll be 10k into it by the time your done

well seems like cognito is the most common choice so far... and yes that is definitely an expensive wish list, BUT thats why its a WISH list.. lol now, EFI is already on its way.. th elift is cokming as soon as i decide, the tires come with the lift. now th eroad armor bumpers are going to wait a while, they are very expensive..

so im assuming skyjacker and cognito are close to comparable? or is cognito better? i just dont wanna be too high, ya know?

does it have to be road armor?? alien patrol is the same bumpers for less $$, and buckstop had nice bumpers with more options for custom colors and stuff, also look at ARB they are compatable with airbags so if you hit something you are still safe inside the truck and they are about 1/2 road armor cost

look at fusion bumpers also

cognito is waaaaay better!

People are pretty well brand loyal but cause I plan to go Cognito all I can say is , at least if you run into problems with factory parts , Cognito has most replacement parts.
