I'm no expert, but I'd be concerned about their claim that it disperses water. Sounds to me like an emulsifier which keeps the water in solution in the fuel. GM only recommends a demulsifier that separates the water from the fuel. Reason being, if you allow the water saturated fuel to get past the filter, when the truck is shut down the water can come out of solution and nasty things can start growing on the injector side of the filter. You want any water to get caught in the water trap at the filter, not passed through the filter.

To disperse is to seperate. Sounds like it is helping the filter do it's job by seperating the water from the fuel before it reaches the filter.

Tip: Free or emulsified water must be removed from the fuel to prevent corrosion and damage to the fuel system. The best way to do this is with a Stanadyne Fuel Manager filter incorporating a water separator. Be wary of certain additives which claim to "remove water." In fact, they dissolve the water, which eventually will pass through the filter and attack the injection components. Stanadyne additives demulsify the water, pulling it out of solution so the filter/water separator can more effectively remove it.

Havent run it. I am going to stick with the Stanadyne that GM recommends.
