best place to post, so since it's a dually I chose here.
I drove to work today and parked my truck. Six hours later (I'm retired
so I only work part time) I start the truck and try to back out of my parking
spot. When I put it in reverse, it lunges back with me now standing on the brake. I now find I have NO STEERING AND NO BRAKES. I shut it off, checked the belt and fluid, no problem. I ended up calling a tow truck. Before the truck got there, I tried to get it out of the spot where it was parked so it would be easy to pick up. As I worked it out little by little I was pulling down on the right side of the steering wheel and all at once it was like some thing broke. Then the steering and brakes started to work again. I took it back to the dealer anyway, but has anyone had any problem like this?

my buddy had the same thing happen last week it was the power steering pump. You have a hydro boost for the brakes so when the pump took a crap no brake or steering.

thanks for the clicky..Read the whole thing and now have a better understanding. I will calling the dealer in a few minutes to see whats up. I think the only thing I didn't try was reving the engine. Damn, I wish I had tried that.

story. Dealer called today, and as expected they checked fluid, pump,
and everything they could related to this and found nothing wrong. I'm a
little pissed that I have to pay 68.00 for the check, but I'll call GM and see
what they say. But it's over for now, and I'll have her back in the driveway
in a few hours. Many thanks for the quick reply's to the post. As always
you folks are the best.

And to all the vetterns out there HAPPY VETERANS DAY to all and a big
